CSU Athletic Hall of Fame seeks nominees

Nominations are being accepted for induction to the Athletic Hall of Fame, established to bring recognition to those individuals whose athletic achievements have brought honor to the University. The Athletic Hall of Fame membership is determined by a board of directors comprised of alumni, faculty, members and interested community citizens. All nominations are considered equally.

To be nominated as an Athlete

• A nominee must be a graduate of Columbus State University or have played at least two years.
• Eligibility for admission begins in the fifth year after the nominee's athletic career has ended.
• A nominee must have made an outstanding contribution in the field of athletics at the University.
• A nominee must have demonstrated a sustained commitment to the University between his or her graduation and nomination.

To be nominated as a coach

• Must have been an outstanding coach at the University for five or more years.
• Must have been an employee in good standing during tenure.
• Must have continued to be a citizen in good standing and not caused unfavorable publicity for the University and community.

To be nominated as a Contributor:

• Must have made non-direct athletic efforts and/or performed service to Columbus State University which significantly and positively affected athletics; or advanced or made more meaningful the athletic experience for direct participants. (This provision shall not be construed to memorialize and honor mere financial contribution in this fashion nor shall it operate to exclude such generosity as a factor.)
